Colton Flinner Ready for FASTRAK Northeast Event at Mercer Raceway Park
The $2,000 FASTRAK Event Co-headlines ‘Chiller Thriller’

Pittsburgh, PA (April 1st, 2013) – Two-time and defending Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway FASTRAK/Pro Late Model Track Champion, Colton Flinner, is ready to get back to work this Saturday evening, April 6th, and make an appearance at one of the region’s marquee crate late model events.The Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania will be hosting it’s annual ‘Chiller Thriller’ event this weekend; which includes appearances by not only the ULMS Super Late Models, but also the highly competitive FASTRAK Late Models, to help bring in the new year at the Mercer County oval. The 2013 FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Chevy Buick GMC Northeast Touring Division will sanction Mercer’s FASTRAK portion of the ‘Chiller Thriller’ program; paying $2,000 to the evening’s main event winner. Colton Flinner will travel north to Mercer Raceway Park from his Allison Park, Pennsylvania home with the determination to not only earn his first-career FASTRAK Northeast win, but earn his first win of the 2013 season.

“We are ready to get going again!” said Colton Flinner about the upcoming weekend at Mercer Raceway Park, “The weather hasn’t been real great lately,  but things look better for this weekend so hopefully we get the northeast season started…we’ve had some tough luck so far this season racing down south…hopefully we can get some momentum behind us now that we are close to home…I can’t thank my family, sponsors, and supporters enough for these great opportunities…it’s going to be a long and fun season!”

Mercer Raceway Park’s ‘Chiller Thriller’ will be the first event of the 2013 season for the  FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Chevy Buick GMC Northeast Touring Division. Colton Flinner intends to follow the entire FASTRAK Northeast Division schedule in 2013; which sanctions crate late model events in all areas of the upper northeast including Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. The driver of the American Framers, Vox Energy, A.W. Beattie Career Center, no. 75 crate late model has been ‘behind the wheel’ on a few occasions already in 2013, but will make his first Pennsylvania start this Saturday night. Flinner kicked off his 2013 season in Tampa, Florida; and from there, made trips to areas of Georgia and South Carolina for marquee crate late model events. The former Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway winner hopes to initiate some positive momentum in a big way this weekend, and find victory lane at Mercer Raceway Park.

Special event ticket pricing will be in effect for the Chiller Thriller. Adult general admission will be $17. Seniors (age 60 and over) will get a two dollar discount at the front gate only. Students will be admitted for $7 and all children (ages 8 and under) are free, as usual.  The economical Family Pass will be $35, which is good for two adults and up to four minors of any age.
