KNOXVILLE, Iowa (March 19, 2024) – Jim Shuttlesworth has officially taken the reins as crew chief for the Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) No. 8, and with Cory Eliason’s High Limit Sprint Car Series commitments on hold until Series action resumes at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas, on Tuesday, April 9, there’s plenty of time to become acquainted. The team will begin their new chapter in the heart of Central Pennsylvania, joining the infamous Pennsylvania Posse at Williams Grove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway, and BAPS Motor Speedway on March 22-24.
“We’re pleased to have Jim Shuttlesworth join our efforts at Ridge & Sons Racing. He carries a winning tradition and we aim to have that translate well at RSR,” Brian Ridge, owner of RSR, explained. “We have some time before our High Limit schedule gets back underway, so we’re going to take advantage of the next few weeks and get our program situated.”
Shuttlesworth’s wrenching resume runs deep in Posse Country, most recently finding notable successes with driver Devon Borden under the Shuttlesworth-Stehman Racing banner, and Anthony Macri at Macri Motorsports.
“We’re confident Jim’s experience will propel us to the next level,” Ridge added. “We’re ready to get started.”
As noted, although the new duo has their aim set on a full slate in the Keystone State, Cory Eliason, Jim Shuttlesworth, and all of RSR will remain focused on their High Limit Sprint Car Series goals – continuing their quest for a Series championship.

Ridge & Sons Racing and Cory Eliason [No. 8] will continue their 2024 campaign with a tripleheader in the Keystone State; Williams Grove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway, and BAPS Motor Speedway on Friday through Sunday, March 22-24.
The team’s High Limit Sprint Car Series schedule will not resume until Tuesday, April 9, when the High Rollers visit Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas, for a $20,000-to-win Midweek Money Series event.
2024 STATISTICS & HIGHLIGHTS:
Highlighted “Battle at the Bay” at East Bay Raceway Park with 19th-place finish on Monday, February 12. Finished ninth (HL) at Golden Isles Speedway in Waynesville, Georgia, on Thursday, February 22. Finished ninth in Volusia Speedway Park’s Bike Week Jamboree (WoO) on Monday, March 4.
