KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 10, 2024) – It was a hard-fought weekend in the Show-Me State for Cory Eliason and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR), and although the Knoxville, Iowa-based outfit just missed the top-ten in each of the Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race programs at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri, there were plenty of shining moments, one of which a six spot jump in the weekend opener to finish 12th.

Eliason, driver of Brian and Lisa Ridge’s Commercial Edge, NDT New Direction Transport LLC, Ridge Development, North Ridge Development, Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts, B And L Holdings, No. 8 sprint car, raced on to finish 14th in the weekend’s $26,000-to-win finale, this time advancing two spots from the outside of row eight.

A busy June slate means little turnaround time for Eliason and RSR, as the team will be back in action tomorrow evening, June 11, for a $55,555 potential at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Nebraska. The week will continue with a two-day World of Outlaws battle at the Sprint Car Capital of the World – Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa – on Friday and Saturday, June 14-15.

“Not a bad weekend at I-70. I don’t think our results speak for our progress, but we don’t have a lot of time to dwell,” Eliason said. “We have another busy week ahead. A lot of money is on the line tomorrow night at Eagle Raceway, plus we have a doubleheader at Knoxville. That will serve as an important test session for the Nationals later this summer.”
