Cory Haas Eager for ‘Sprint Spring Championship’ at Lincoln
Earns Consecutive Top-Ten Finishes at The Grove and in the Pigeon Hills
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
York, PA (April 1st, 2015) – After earning two consecutive top-ten finishes with the ‘Pennsylvania Posse’ last Friday and Sunday, Cory Haas and the Barshinger ‘11C’ team look ahead to the ‘Sprint Spring Championship’ at Lincoln Speedway with high a level of enthusiasm and momentum. The annual ‘Sprint Spring Championship’ at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway will award $5,000 to the main event winner on Saturday evening, April 4th; the highest paying event of Haas’ 2015 season thus far.
“We always look forward to the big events in central PA” said Haas, “We’ve been going pretty good lately…still some things we need to work on but we are always ready to move on to the next one…we are lucky enough to race in an area where there are a lot of bigger paying races…we have some momentum on our side and we’ve been plugging away in the shop…hopefully we can get a big one early in the year…that would really set the tone for our season.”
Cory Haas is certainly no stranger to ‘big wins’ at Lincoln Speedway. The York, Pennsylvania native earned the Gobrecht Memorial victory worth $7,000 back in June of 2011; which also kicked-off the annual Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek. Haas is also a former multi-time Lincoln Speedway ‘358’ track champion, and owns the ‘358’ win record at the Abbottstown, Pennsylvania oval (13).
The Michael Barshinger Builder, Embee & Son, Inc, York P-B Truss, Inc., Thornton Chevrolet, ‘11C’ team will kick-off their upcoming weekend with a visit to the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday night, April 3rd. The $5,000-to-win ‘Sprint Spring Championship’ at Lincoln will headline the weekend on the following night.
During recent ‘410’ sprint car competition, Cory Haas earned back-to-back top-ten finishes at the Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway on Friday and Sunday, March 27th & 29th. The ‘11C’ came home tenth during both main events. Haas finds himself sixth in the current Central PA sprint car standings.
