York, PA – 8/27/12 – York, Pennsylvania native and Central Pennsylvania ‘410’ sprint car competitor, Cory Haas, finished his most recent weekend in competition with three consecutive top 10 finishes; including a second and third place finish on Friday and Saturday evening. Haas, who has multiple ‘358’ sprint car track championships to his credit in Central Pennsylvania, finished 3rd at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday night, August 24th, before earning a runner-up finish and sixth place finish during ‘Twin 20’s’ action at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania on Saturday, August 25th. The Team Fully Injected ‘410’ sprint car hotshoe will be back in action this Labor Day weekend in Central Pennsylvania; beginning Friday night, August 31st, at Williams Grove Speedway for the annual ‘Jack Gunn Memorial’ – Triple 20’s!

The ‘Jack Gunn Memorial’ will feature three-20 lap features for the ‘410’ sprint cars Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway; each carrying full points towards the speedway’s driver and owner track championships. The first two-20 lap features will pay $2,500 to the winner, while the third and final 20 lap feature will pay a hefty $5,000 to the winner. Time trials will kick-off the evening, and will be used to lock-in 12 feature starters, as well as line up drivers and teams in one of the two respective feature qualifiers who did not make the top 12 time trial positions. The overall ‘Jack Gunn Memorial’ championship will be given to the driver and team who captures the $5,000-to-win finale.

Cory Haas continues to remain win-less at the world famous Mechanicsburg half-mile in 2012, but will have three opportunities to change that statistic for his entire ’11C’ program this Friday night. The York native still finds himself scored 10th in the Central Pennsylvania sprint car standings entering Labor Day weekend; with three wins to his credit over the course of the 2012 season.
