By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (August 27, 2018) – A weekend that was just as frustrating as it was satisfying, ‘Double-D’ Danny Dietrich ended his four-day, five-feature, Central Pennsylvania tour with the All Star Circuit of Champions with a pair of top-ten finishes, one of which the result of a massive charge from 21st to finish ninth at BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday, August 26. Impressive as it is, Dietrich’s rally technically started from the tail of the field, as the Gettysburg native was involved in an incident on lap three.

In addition to his impressive display of perseverance during the Justin Snyder Salute to the Troops program at BAPS Motor Speedway, Dietrich kicked-off his All Star weekend with a sixth place performance at Grandview Speedway on Thursday, August 23, igniting his evening in Bechtelsville with a dominating heat race victory.

“Not our best weekend, but sometimes you have to take the good with the bad and move forward,” Dietrich said, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Gsell’s Whitetails/Hickory Run Orchards/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48 sprint car. “We’ll try to work for better results this weekend.”

Nearly acquiring a third top-ten finish on the weekend, Dietrich started on the pole during the second of two Jack Gunn Memorial main events at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday when disaster struck, actually spinning while battling for the top spot. Dietrich was eventually scored 25th.

Labor Day weekend will be nothing short of busy for the nine-time Central Pennsylvania winner, setting his aim on three events in four days including the Labor Day Classic at Port Royal Speedway on Monday, September 3. In addition, Dietrich will visit Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, August 31, for the Al Hamilton Tribute Race, followed by a start at Port Royal Speedway, the Juniata County Fair opener, on Saturday, September 1.
