Danny Dietrich Prepares for Five Ohio Sprint Speedweek Dates during Upcoming Schedule,
Finishes sixth during Dirt Classic Showcase at Lincoln
GETTYSBURG, Pa (June 13, 2016) – For the first time in 2016, “Double-D” Danny Dietrich will travel west and visit areas of Ohio, ready to challenge the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions during select dates of the 34th edition of Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket. Dietrich, pilot of the Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Hickory Run Orchards, Weikert’s Livestock, Carlisle Auto Salvage, CATS Used Truck Parts, No. 48, will join the Arctic Cat All Stars during five Ohio Sprint Speedweek dates, beginning Saturday evening, June 18, at Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield.
“We’re pretty pumped to get back to Ohio,” explained Danny Dietrich. “This is when our summer schedule really begins to take off. The next few weeks are jammed up, which is a good thing when you’re trying to build some momentum for the rest of the year. It should be a lot of fun. We always look forward to getting back out there.”
Danny Dietrich will continue his 2016 Ohio Sprint Speedweek campaign on Sunday night, June 19, at Findlay’s Millstream Speedway, followed by a stop at the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville on Monday, June 20. The Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native will complete his five-race trek through the Buckeye State with visits to Sharon Speedway in Hartford on Tuesday, June 21, and the Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe on Wednesday, June 22. Each Ohio Sprint Speedweek program will award $5,000.
Before activating his Ohio Sprint Speedweek road trip, Danny Dietrich will enter competition at the legendary Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, on Friday night, June 17. A full point program for the 410 sprinters will be on the Friday night agenda at the historic half-mile, with Dietrich currently tied for the top spot in the championship chace.
Recent results for Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing include a sixth place performance during the Dirt Classic Showcase at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, June 11, raising his season top-ten total to 23. Dietrich launched his recent weekend stretch with a 12th place run during “Friday Night Lights” at Selinsgrove Speedway on Friday, June 10.
“Not a bad weekend, but there was still room for improvement,” said Dietrich. “We set some pretty high goals for ourselves for the next week, so our plan to accomplish those goals and roll into Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek in a few weeks with a full head of steam. I can’t thank my guys enough for their hard work and dedication. They’ll be put to the test the next few weeks, but we are all up for the challenge. It should be a really fun week.”
