The 410 sprint cars will be on the card this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, at Lernerville Speedway for the annual ‘Steel City Stampede.’ $3,000 will await the winner of the 25 lap main event on Saturday evening, which will also close out the 2011 racing season at the Sarver, PA, oval. A large field of 410 sprint cars is expected; with western Pennsylvania’s toughest competitors making an appearance. Fully Injected stars, Danny Holtgraver, Brandon Matus, and Brandon Spithaler, will all be venturing to Sarver, PA, this weekend to grab a piece of the action, and hopefully a nice pay day.
Most of the ‘FI’ pilots in competition this weekend have had recent success at the Sarver, PA, oval; which should translate into an advantage this weekend during the three day event. Danny Holtgraver is a former Lernerville Speedway Track Champion; while seventeen-year-old, Brandon Matus, picked up his first career sprint car victory this summer at Lernerville Speedway. Evan City, Pennsylvania native, Brandon Spithaler, has won a number of heat races at the popular 4/10’s mile oval, but is still absent from the win column. Perhaps a win this weekend would be a perfect way to kick off a win streak, and an end to a season.
Open practice will be held Thursday evening; with heat races set for Friday and feature action taking place Saturday night!
