By Fully Injected Motorsports:
Pittsburgh, PA (August 19, 2015) – Since earning his first win of the 2015 season, western Pennsylvania’s Danny Holtgraver has been anxious to get back in the driver seat. Holtgraver, driver of the Phoenix Racing, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, DKW Transport, Auto Electric of Jupiter, Southern Pacific Farms, #59, will have that opportunity this weekend, as he prepares for three consecutive events with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions. The recent “Putzy Kekich Memorial” champion at Mercer Raceway Park will join the UNOH All Stars in Michigan and Ohio this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, chasing the $5,000 top prize on all three occasions.
“Always ready to get back to work” said Danny Holtgraver, “We’ve had a weekend off since we won at Mercer so it’s time to get back at it. I just want to thank Tom and Sherry Leidig again for this opportunity. Things have been tough on us this year, but we’ll keep working hard and keep moving forward. Getting a win last week has done a lot for our confidence. We have a big weekend ahead so we’ll work to find victory lane again.”
Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing will open up their weekend with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions at the I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan on Friday evening, August 21. UNOH All Star competition will move ahead to the Butler Speedway near Quincy, Michigan on Saturday, August 22. Danny Holtgraver is a former UNOH All Star main event winner at the Butler “Battlegrounds” Speedway; earning the $5,000 victory during the 2014 season. The Butler Speedway win was one of three UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions victories for “Downtown” Danny Holtgraver in 2014.
The upcoming weekend will come to a close on Sunday evening, August 23, at the Millstream Speedway near Findlay, Ohio. Danny Holtgraver finished fourth during his most recent UNOH All Star appearance at the Millstream Speedway half-mile. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native charged forward from a 14th starting position to earn the top-five finish.
“The upcoming weekend could do great things for our season” said Danny Holtgraver, “We had a great night at Millstream Speedway the last time we were there and we’ve won at Butler. We want to make the most of this weekend and get that first All Star win of the year.”
