PITTSBURGH (June 14, 2016) – “Downtown” Danny Holtgraver will ignite another edition of Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket on Friday evening, launching an eight race/nine day campaign across much of the Buckeye State. Holtgraver, a 10-time main event winner during Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition, one of which at Wilmot Raceway earlier this season, will hunt for a first ever speedweek championship in 2016, attempting to be the first Pennsylvania native to earn a speedweek title since Tim Shaffer in 2013.

“It’s a long week, but we’re pretty pumped about it,” explained Danny Holtgraver. “The last month or so has had a lot of positive changes for us. We’ve been rolling pretty well. Even as demanding as it is, speedweek isn’t a new concept for us. We’ve been to all of the tracks on the schedule and we’ve had some success at all of them, also. That’s motivating for our team. It’s one of the most competitive weeks in racing, but if we keep our nose clean and stay consistent like we have been, there is no reason why we can’t be toward the top of the standings. We’ll do everything we can to stay up front. I’m excited to get started.”

34th annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket will launch Friday evening, June 17, at Attica Raceway Park. Action will continue at Waynesfield Raceway Park (6/18), Millstream Speedway (6/19), Wayne County Speedway (6/20), Sharon Speedway (6/21), Atomic Speedway (6/22), Limaland Motorsports Park (6/24) and Eldora Speedway (6/25).

Danny Holtgraver will enter Ohio Sprint Speedweek competition with a recent top-five finish to his credit. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native finished fourth at Butler Speedway in Quincy, Michigan, on Saturday night, June 11, climbing two positions during the 25-lap main event. “Downtown” has five top-five finishes during Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition thus far in 2016 and currently finds himself sixth in the championship standings.

“I believe our team has what it takes to be near the front all week during speedweek,” explained Danny Holtgraver. “I can’t thank Pete Grove enough for this opportunity. I have a lot of dedicated people on board this season. It feels great to have that level of support. We’re ready to get rolling.”
