Ohio Sprint Speedweek Next for Bradley Howard

ETTERS, Pa. (June 14, 2016) – For the first time in his young career, Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions rookie contender Bradley Howard will attempt to conquer Ohio Sprint Speedweek. The eight race campaign, contested during a nine day stretch, will feature intense competition at eight different Ohio ovals, igniting officially on Friday evening, June 17, at Attica Raceway Park. The 34th edition of Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket will feature seven $5,000-to-win programs, with the finale on Saturday, June 25, awarding $10,000. In addition, a $3,000 point fund will be spread amongst the top-ten in final Ohio Sprint Speedweek point standings.
“We’ve been talking about speedweek the last few weeks, so I’m excited to finally get it started,” said Bradley Howard. “It’s going to be a challenge, but I wouldn’t expect anything less. We are finally starting to get these Ohio tracks figured out. A lot of tracks back home have a lot of wing speed. At most of these Ohio tracks we don’t have that to work with. We’ll use what we’ve learned this week. I can’t thank my team enough for allowing this experience to happen. We’re going to work hard all week and attempt to be the top rookie.”
34th annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket will launch Friday evening, June 17, at Attica Raceway Park. Action will continue at Waynesfield Raceway Park (6/18), Millstream Speedway (6/19), Wayne County Speedway (6/20), Sharon Speedway (6/21), Atomic Speedway (6/22), Limaland Motorsports Park (6/24) and Eldora Speedway (6/25).
Bradley Howard, pilot of the Rocket Drywall, DeRock Electric Company, Harcon Construction, J&W Ace Hardware, Stauffer Motorsports, Ciesco Inc., J&J Auto Racing, Rock-It Pizza & Subs, No. 49H, is currently 13th in the updated Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions standings, earning seven main event starts.
“You grow up hearing about Ohio Sprint Speedweek and how demanding it is,” Howard said. “It’s wild to think that I am actually going to be a part of it.”
