2019 World of Outlaws Championship Standings: 1st – 6932 points (30-point lead over Brad Sweet)

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (August 26, 2019) – Although not victorious during his visits to South Dakota and Montana, ten-time and defending World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, Donny Schatz, was certainly consistent, rattling off back-to-back top-ten finishes including a podium performance at Big Sky Speedway in Billings, Montana.

Schatz’ consistency not only helped the Fargo, North Dakota-native pad his 2019 statistics, but it also helped pad his World of Outlaws championship lead, now at 30 markers over Brad Sweet entering Labor Day weekend.

Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Toco Warranty/Ford Performance/Curb Records/Sage Fruit/Absolute Automation & Security/No. 15 sprint car, finished seventh and third, respectively, during his weekend outing, first visiting Black Hill Speedway in Rapid City, South Dakota, before making the trek west to Big Sky Country.

“This team never quits. They keep plugging away and that’s what makes consistency possible,” Donny Schatz said. “We want to win races, but consistency this time of year is just as important. We’ll work to do the same during our starts on the West Coast.”

Donny Schatz will continue his quest toward an 11th World of Outlaws title this Friday, Saturday and Monday, August 30, 31 and September 2, with visits to Skagit Speedway and Grays Harbor Raceway, respectively.

Skagit Speedway in Burlington, Washington, will host the Greatest Show On Dirt on Friday and Saturday; Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington, will host the traveling Series on Labor Day. Donny Schatz is the defending race winner at Grays Harbor, leading all 30 circuits from the pole position.
