PITTSBURGH, PA — Mother Nature may have derailed the lone Sunday evening date on the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway schedule but the racing action will continue this Saturday, July 6th with a complete program for the Diehl of Robinson Super Late Models, Precise Racing Products RUSH Pro-Late Models, Sunoco Race Fuels Late Model Sportsman, Miley BP Carwash Hobby Stocks and the Imperial Heights Garage Young Guns.
This Saturday will also include the always popular Driver Autograph Night at intermission. Fans of all ages will be able to get autographs from their favorite drivers as well as get a “close up look” of the cars prior to the feature event action. “The Driver Autograph Night is always one of our most popular events each year,” commented Speedway owner Matt Miley. “It provides race fans of all ages with the opportunity to meet the drivers that are in competition each week. In addition, many of the teams will have candy, driver cards and other goodies for the fans to enjoy.”
In addition to the five divisions in action each week this Saturday PPMS will host the second installment of the Wacky Wheels Figure Eight Mania. Newcomer Phil Liebmann scored the win at the June 8th event but he will be challenged by Andrew Loria, Curt Habedl, Joe Podolinsky and Sam McGervey and a few others. It will also be Twin State Auto Racing Fan Club night at “Dirt’s Monster Half Mile.” All members of the club will receive Free Grandstand Admission when they present their current membership card and a valid photo ID at the main grandstand ticket booth. Pit Admission for Twin State members will be $15.00 this Saturday when they present their 2013 club membership card and a valid photo ID.
The Pit and Grandstand Admission Gates for this this week’s racing action open at 5:00PM with the first green flag waving promptly at 7:00PM.
Adult Grandstand Admission is $15.00. Seniors, Ages 60 and Over, are admitted for $14.00 with Juniors, Ages 13 to 16, priced at $10.00. Admission for Children aged Six through 12 is $5.00 and Children Under Age Six will be admitted Free. In addition, all children aged Six through 12 will receive a free gift when they present their admission ticket at the PPMS Gift Shop, which now features Apparel by Denise.
Pit Admission for this week’s event is $30.00.
Don’t forget that the Checkered Flag Food Court has a great variety of amusement park munchies like monster chicken wings, grilled chicken sandwiches and cotton candy at “fan friendly prices.”
