ADA, OH (4-17-13) by Brittany Holland – Miss Fremont/Attica Sprint Title

This weekend will open up the fifth exciting season of the Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) Championship Series presented by KS Sales and Service. and F.A.S.T. 305 Championship Series with a weekend of intense 410 and 305 sprint car racing action. However, this series would be impossible without the partnership between two local tracks, Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway.

Attica Raceway Park, located in Attica, Ohio, is home to an exciting 1/3 mile banked clay oval that features 410 sprint cars, UMP DIRTcar Late Models, 305 sprint cars and, at select events, dirt trucks. The track has been providing quality racing entertainment to the local racing community for 25 years.

The track, which offers “family entertainment at a reasonable price with good food and an efficient program” according to track promoter Rex LeJeune, will be home to multiple 410 and 305 sprint car F.A.S.T. events.

When asked about how the F.A.S.T. series has impacted drivers at Attica Raceway Park, LeJeune stated that it “adds more excitement to the track as far as drivers having another chance to run for more money on different nights without having to travel or leave the area.” The track will be celebrating 25 racing filled seasons on Friday, May 17th with an exciting F.A.S.T. 410 sprint car double feature.

Saturday, April 20th will begin the F.A.S.T. events at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio. “The Track That Action Built”, a 1/3 semi banked clay oval with softwalls , features 410 sprint cars, 305 sprint cars and dirt trucks with occasional showings of compacts and vintage cars. The second home of F.A.S.T. racing provides “the best entertainment per dollar of any attraction in northwest Ohio,” according to co-track promoter Rich Farmer.

Farmer believes that “the F.A.S.T. series as a whole has been very good for both Fremont and Attica in the nature of us maintaining car counts in the worst economic times either track has seen. The F.A.S.T. series has helped to keep teams racing; when they have more to race for and know they can win some extra money at the end of the year, they participate. It absolutely helps keep them racing and it helps keep them racing in Fremont and Attica.”
