Fremont Speedway and F.A.S.T. to Award Champions on December 6th

Top Ten in Each Division Awarded During 2014 Banquet

Fremont, Ohio (October 31st, 2014) – The 2014 Fremont Speedway and Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) banquets will be a joint celebration in 2014, and will each take place on Saturday, December 6th at the Fremont American Legion on Buckland Avenue in Fremont, Ohio. Champions from each F.A.S.T. division, as well as each of the 2014 Fremont Speedway champions, will be awarded during the annual banquet; as well as the top-ten drivers from each division. The festivities are scheduled to begin at approximately five-thirty, with dinner to follow at six-forty. A band will wrap up the evening with live music following the awards ceremony.

“We had a great season in 2014; for Fremont Speedway and the F.A.S.T. series” explained Rich Farmer, “The Fremont Speedway banquet will involve a lot of the same individuals as the F.A.S.T. ceremony, so why not have them together…we are excited for it…gives us a chance to reunite with everyone that supported our series and our track…hopefully everyone can make it…it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Not only will the 2014 champions and the top-ten in each division be awarded on December 6th, but a long list of other award recipients will be recognized during the annual banquet. A crew chief in each Fremont/Attica Sprint Title division will be awarded, along with a F.A.S.T. ‘Rookie of the Year’ award, and a Fremont Speedway ‘Rookie of the Year’ award.

Bryon Reed earned the 2014 Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service championship, along with the 2014 Fremont Speedway – Fort Ball Pizza Palace ‘410’ Sprint Championship. Reed was able to accomplish his dual championship without winning a main event. Rounding out the top five in the 2014 F.A.S.T. ‘410’ standings were Chris Andrews, Caleb Griffith, Brian Lay and Dean Jacobs. Finishing second through fifth in the 2014 Fremont Speedway ‘410’ standings included Brian Lay, Chris Andrews, Caleb Griffith and Brian Smith. Reed’s F.A.S.T. title is worth $10,000.

Nate Dussel, a two-time winner in F.A.S.T. ‘305’ competition in 2014, earned the JLH General Contractors Fremont/Attica Sprint Title ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro $2,000 championship. Dussel’s win during the F.A.S.T. ‘305’ finale put the finishing touches on his second consecutive championship campaign. Dussel was followed in the F.A.S.T. ‘305’ standings by John Ivy, Jordan Ryan, Steve Rando and Dustin Dinan.

Jordan Ryan used his five feature victories at the Fremont Speedway in 2014 to propel himself to the top of the standings and earn the Fremont Speedway – Fremont Federal Credit Union – ‘305’ Sprint Championship. Ryan’s final margin of victory in the standings was 41 markers over Nate Dussel; Dustin Dinan, John Ivy and Bobby Clark rounded out the top five.

Undoubtedly the most dominant performer of the 2014 Fremont Speedway season was Fremont Fence Company – Dirt Truck driver, Shawn Valenti. Valenti scored 14 victories during his 2014 campaign at the Fremont oval; securing his 2014 championship with a margin of 293 points. Following Valenti in the 2014 Fremont Speedway – Fremont Fence Company Dirt Truck standings were Matt Foos, Jeff Ward, Dustin Keegan and Art Ball.

“It was a competitive season in every division” said Rich Farmer; promoter of F.A.S.T. and Fremont Speedway, “These guys put on a show each and every night…a few of the championships, including F.A.S.T. ‘410’ and ‘305,’ came down to the last night of racing…that just goes to show the level of competition we have in this part of Ohio…we are already looking forward to next year…on behalf of the entire Fremont Speedway staff and F.A.S.T. staff, I want to thank everyone for their support…it wouldn’t be possible without the help from all of our sponsors and supporters.”

Tickets can be purchased for this event by contacting Rich Farmer or Shelly Liskai. No tickets will be sold at the door. On a special note, the top ten drivers in each division, F.A.S.T. and Fremont Speedway, must be present at the banquet to receive awards. Tickets are $20.
