California native – Damian Gardner – picked up the Winter Dirt Games opening night victory this evening at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida. The USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car event drew 30 cars; with Bryan Clauson earning the fast time award and a new track record.
Gardner held off late charges by Jon Stanbrough and Brady Bacon to earn the win in the USAC season opener. They will return to action again tomorrow night at the Bubba Raceway Park for day two of the three day spectacle.
Stanbrough would cross the line second at the conclusion of the 30 lapper. Brady Bacon, Darren Hagen, and Bryan Clauson rounded out the top 5.
