BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (May 15, 2023) – Despite a tough start to the year that left Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing scratching their heads, things turned for the better in a hurry, ultimately checking off three consecutive top-ten scores in three starts on Friday through Sunday, May 12-14. For Wilson, the weekend results are his best of the season by far, nearly attaining his first victory of the year in a Sunday visit to Knox Raceway in Knox, Pennsylvania.

Featuring the regionally-based FAST Series, Wilson finished second in the aforementioned Sunday stop at Knox, leading a portion of the program from the front row before slipping to second behind Brandon Spithaler. The podium was Wilson’s first of the year, the highlight of the weekend that also included a tenth-place finish in Attica Raceway Park’s Attica/Fremont Championship Series program on Friday, and a sixth-place rally at Sharon Speedway on Saturday; he started 14th.

Wilson’s progress will be put to the test this weekend, as the Benton Ridge, Ohio, native plans to join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in visits to Attica and Sharon on Friday and Saturday, May 19-20.

“We’re making some gains, not only as a team, but also as a driver. It’s exciting to see our progress,” Wilson, driver of the Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics Warehousing and Transportation, No. W20 sprint car, mentioned. “It was a tough first part of the year, but hopefully this is the start of a long momentum swing. Certainly wouldn’t be in this position without everyone at Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, and Ohio Logistics. Their dedication and support never goes unnoticed.”

ON DECK:
Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing will continue their 2023 campaign with a World of Outlaws weekend through the Buckeye State, first joining the Series at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Friday, May 19, followed by a visit to Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, on Saturday, May 20.
