Gregg Satterlee Earns Top-Ten Against Outlaws; Returns to the Road Thursday
Three Consecutive Events In Three States Planned for Thursday through Saturday

Indiana, PA (August 18, 2015) – Western Pennsylvania’s Gregg Satterlee will return to the road with a trio of super late model events scheduled for the upcoming weekend. “The Truth” will join the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Ultimate Super Late Model Series during his upcoming travels, with action set to begin in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Thursday evening, August 20. Satterlee has been busy during the last month of competition; earning five top-ten finishes since July 18. Recent highlights for the Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, Keyser Manufacturing, Valvoline, #22 team include finishing fourth during the $32,000-to-win “Silver Dollar Nationals” at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska, as well as recording a seventh place finish against the World of Outlaws Late Model Series at the Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Virginia. Despite the success, Satterlee has been disappointed. The Rochester Mills, Pennsylvania native will look for a “fresh start” to his season this Thursday night.
“The last month has been pretty tough” said Gregg Satterlee, “We’ve been in a rut lately. We were on the road for a few weeks and had a hard time finding any rhythm. We were able to find some success, but still missed qualifying for a few bigger events that we were excited about. Our goal is to jump back on the road for a few days and search for a new starting point. We’ll be racing pretty close to home in a few weeks so we want to be ready when we get there.”
Gregg Satterlee will kick off his upcoming trek on Thursday evening, August 20, with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition at the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee. The $10,000-to-win “Scorcher” is on tap at the Volunteer high-banks. It will be Satterlee’s first visit to Bulls Gap in 2015.
On Friday night, August 21, Gregg Satterlee will visit the Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky. The Ultimate Super Late Model Series will host the “John Bradshaw Memorial” worth $15,012. This will be the second visit to Ponderosa Speedway in 2015 for Satterlee; finishing 11th against the World of Outlaws Late Model Series back on May 8.
Satterlee will conclude his weekend by rejoining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Saturday evening, August 22, at the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. The $10,000-to-win “Whiskey City 50” is on tap at the Lawrenceburg oval; wrapping up a potential $35,012 weekend for “The Truth.”
“Pretty excited to head south this weekend” said Satterlee, “It will be a busy little stretch, but I think we are ready for it.”
Gregg Satterlee is a four-time super late model winner in 2015. The pilot of the familiar black double-deuce has been hard to beat on the half-mile ovals; capturing main event wins at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania; Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania; and Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland. Satterlee has two wins at Hagerstown in 2015.
Upcoming events for Satterlee and the #22 team include “Pittsburgher 100” action at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event will award $20,000 on Saturday, August 29. Satterlee swept “Pittsburgher 100” competition in 2014 by earning back-to-back wins worth $5,000 on Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14.
