Gregg Satterlee Enjoys Successful Speedweek, Continues to Finish Strong

Rochester Mills, PA (June 11, 2012) ‘The Truth’, Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, PA competed with the Appalachian Mountain Speedweek presented by Harbaugh Amusement as they made their way through Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and back into Pennsylvania during the first six days of June.

Gregg’s speedweek voyage got started at Hagerstown (MD) Speedway on Saturday, June 2 after the opening stanza at Big Diamond Speedway was rained out. Satterlee started well with a solid fifth place finish at the famous Maryland half-mile before heading off to Winchester (VA) Speedway for the next Speedweek event on June 3. Satterlee went on to win his heat race and take the lead from defending World of Outlaws Late Model Series Champion Rick Eckert on lap nine of the 40-lap main event. Satterlee then held off a late charge from Thompson, PA’s Dan Stone to claim the $5,000 victory and put him atop the Appalachian Mtn. Speedweek point standings.

The mini-series continued on Monday, June 4 at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA. Gregg’s solid speedweek hit a small bump at the picturesque speedway as Satterlee was forced to pull off early during the feature event and being scored with a 20th place finish. After another rain out at Dog Hollow Speedway, the tour made their final stop at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA for a $7,000 to-win finale. Gregg would start on the pole for the feature event and finished a strong third to finish out the speedweek and claim the third position in the final mini-series point standings.

Satterlee then entered the $2,500 to-win ‘Spring Championship’ at Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday, June 9. Gregg set fast time and started sixth in the main event before grabbing another third place finish behind race winner Coleby Frye and Jamie Lathroum. Satterlee’s busy week and a half ended this past Sunday, June 10 with a trip to Hesston Speedway for the Three State Flyers sanctioned, $5,100 to-win event dubbed ‘Superthunder Road’. Gregg would capture his 14th top-five finish of the season with a second place run behind race winner Nick Dickson.

Gregg and his Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, East American Motorsports, Integra Shocks, JNJ Motorsports Media sponsored #22 Rocket Chassis will be in action this upcoming Saturday, June 16 at Hagerstown Speedway for a $10,000 to-win, World of Outlaws sanctioned event.
