Danny Holtgraver earned his second ‘410’ sprint car win of the weekend this past Saturday night at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh native earned a win at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Friday night, June 8th, before turning around and sweeping the weekend by claiming the Mercer Raceway Park win on June 9th. Holtgraver now has two wins at Lernerville Speedway in 2012, while owning one win at the Mercer oval.
Recent Fully Injected supporter, Jack Sodeman Jr., finished second to Danny Holtgraver in the ‘410’ sprint car main event Saturday night, June 9th, at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The Ohio native spends the majority of his weekends competing in Western Pennsylvania and continues to be ultra-competitive. Sodeman would hold off ‘410’ sprint car veteran, Bob Felmlee, for the runner-up finish.
Wampum, Pennsylvania native, Brandon Matus, would earn another top 10 finish in Western Pennsylvania this weekend. The 4th generation sprint car driver finished 8th in the ‘410’ sprint car main event at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania Saturday evening, June 9th. Matus held off Kittanning native, Rod George, and second-year ‘410’ driver, Adam Kekich, for the top 8 finish.
Kittanning, Pennsylvania native and former Mercer Raceway Park track champion, Rod George, finished 9th in the ‘410’ sprint car main event Saturday night at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. George pilots the familiar Dr. John Crawford ‘CIII’ on a full-time basis in 2012. George has one win at the Mercer oval in 2012.
Adam Kekich would stay strong and earn a top 10 finish after an early race mix-up and caution Saturday night, June 9th, at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The 3rd generation sprint car driver out of Hermitage, Pennsylvania continues to chase his first win of the season, and of his career, at Mercer Raceway Park. Kekich would have to hold off Western Pennsylvania veteran, Scott Priester, for the 10th place finish.
Scott Priester, who started the evening second in the Mercer Raceway Park ‘410’ sprint car standings, finished 11th Saturday night in the ‘410’ main event at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The Rimersburg, Pennsylvania native was also involved in an early race incident; cancelling all pre-race momentum. The sprint car veteran would rebound and recover for a top 12 finish.
