Rochester Mills, PA (September 17, 2012) ‘The Truth’, Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, PA picked up his 13th win of the 2012 season and biggest payday of his young career on Saturday, September 15 at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway in Imperial, PA in the $10,000 to-win, 24th Annual ‘Pittsburger’.
Gregg inherited the lead from NASCAR Nationwide Series regular Josh Richards after a lap 33 tangle with a lapped car sent Richards to the pits. On the ensuing restart, Satterlee and second place running Jared Miley tangled but, the ruling on the track was that the green flag was never displayed, keeping Gregg out front while Miley was unable to complete the event. Gregg was able to hold off Dave Hess Jr., Michael Norris, Keith Barbara, and Lynn Geisler for his first ‘Pittsburgher’ victory.
The win now gives Satterlee 13 total wins on the season with nine of them paying over $3,000 to the winner. ‘It’s really been a great season for us,’ Gregg quipped, ‘The ‘Pittsburgher’ isn’t the race it used to be but it’s still a race that everyone from our area wants to win. To win a race that guys like Scott Bloomquist, Donnie Moran, Davey Johnson, and Bart Hartman have won means a lot to me and our team. It’s definitely our biggest win as far as money goes, $10,000 goes a long way.’
Gregg and his Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, East American Motorsports, Integra Shocks, JNJ Motorsports Media sponsored #22 Rocket Chassis will be in action this upcoming weekend, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 20, 21, and 22 at McKean County Raceway in Smethport, PA for the ULMS Sanctioned ‘Priority Care 50’ that will pay $2,000 to-win for the ‘Mike Duffy Memorial’ King of the Hill on Thursday, $2,500 to-win ‘Jim Duffy Memorial’ on Friday, and $13,000 to-win ‘Priority Care 50’ on Saturday.
