Although Team Fully Injected drivers, Rod George and Justin Whitesell, compete in two different classes of sprint car competition, they each have one thing in common: they pass cars. George and Whitesell each charged from the back of their respective features Saturday night, April 7th, at Mercer Raceway Park to finish inside the top five! George is a regular in the ‘410’ sprint car division, while Whitesell pilots a 5.3 GM powered “Outlaw Sprint Warrior” sprint car; each competing regularly at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania.
Rod George started 15th in Saturday night’s ‘410’ sprint car feature event. The Kittanning native failed to finish inside the top 4 of his respective heat race, thus forcing the Kelsey George Racing CIII to start outside of the first six rows that were eligible for the redraw. By the time the 25 lap contest was complete, George had climbed ten positions to finish 5th in the feature event.
