CHICORA, Pa. (October 6, 2021) – Although George Hobaugh’s 2021 season is nearing completion, shutting the doors on a competitive campaign that witnessed the Chicora open wheeler participate in a full slate throughout much of Pennsylvania’s countryside, as well as within the Buckeye State, there is still business to attend to, as Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PPMS) will host “410” sprint cars for a full program on Saturday, October 9.

Not a routine destination for the former Sharon Speedway winner, Hobaugh will battle for a $2,000 payday at Dirt’s Monster Half Mile, set to battle a stout contingent that will include many of Western Pennsylvania’s finest.

With only the World of Outlaws World Finals a sure-fire destination for Hobaugh and Hobaugh Motorsports during the coming weeks, Saturday’s visit to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, will most likely conclude Hobaugh’s schedule within the Keystone State.

“We really didn’t have a definite game plan for the rest of the season, but we decided to visit PPMS on Saturday. We’ll see what we can do,” George Hobaugh explained. “We’ve had a pretty good season. We were in the hunt at Sharon a lot this year and I feel like we were good enough to win on several occasions. Maybe we can make up for those missed opportunities on Saturday in Pittsburgh.”

Despite a tough outing during his most recent start at Lernerville Speedway, missing A-Main action against the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series during the annual Commonwealth Clash, Hobaugh will enter Pittsburgh with a season’s worth of momentum. Not only has Hobaugh been victorious at Sharon, but the Krill Recycling, Laskowski Plumbing, Ridgeview Security, Hobaugh’s Auto Parts, Colliers Custom Kitchen and Bath, No. 40 wheelman has been hot across the map, earning recent top-fives in Lernerville’s Fab4 season finale, as well as in Sharon’s Apple Festival Nationals.

Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will open gates at 5 p.m. on Saturday with warm ups to follow at 6 p.m., sharp. Those seeking additional information can visit PPMS online at www.ppms.com
