CHICORA, Pa. (June 2, 2021) – Working to add another mark in the win column, George Hobaugh and Hobaugh Motorsports will continue their 2021 campaign with a pair of Western Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek stops, kicking-off the weekend with action at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, on Friday, June 4, followed by a stop at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, on Saturday, June 5. Each event will award $3,000 top prizes.
“I think it’s great that Western Pennsylvania has a Speedweek schedule again. Hats off to Tyler Beichner and his team for putting it together,” George Hobaugh said. “We’re going to support two of the five nights, for sure. Hopefully we can put two solid nights together and get our second win of the season. A big thanks to all of our partners for helping us get the 2021 season in motion. It takes a lot of moving parts to have a competitive team, and fortunately for us, we have a lot of great people on our side. We’ve proven that we have what it takes to win, so our goal is to make that happen again soon.”
Hobaugh, driver of the Krill Recycling, Laskowski Plumbing, Ridgeview Security, Hobaugh’s Auto Parts, Colliers Custom Kitchen and Bath, No. 40 sprint car, is certainly no stranger to the pair of upcoming destinations. In fact, the Chicora, Pennsylvania-native is a recent winner at Sharon Speedway, scoring a win on May 15 over AJ Flick and Sye Lynch. Hobaugh started sixth on the feature grid, earning his way into the main event with a runner-up finish during heat race competition. The Sharon Speedway win was the second of Hobaugh’s career.

2021 Highlights: Owns two podium finishes at Tri-City Raceway Park (second and third). Earned a Hard Charger Award at Port Royal Speedway and has finished as high as fourth during feature action. Finished 13th with the World of Outlaws at Sharon Speedway on May 22.
