Jared Miley Looks To Win ‘Red Miley Rumble’ On Saturday!

South Park, PA – 8/15/12 – Out of all of the high paying victories and track championships that Jared Miley has accumulated so far in his young career, one race still remains unconquered; the ‘Red Miley Rumble’ at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speeedway. The $5,300-to-win ULMS vs. UFO super late model event, which honors Jared Miley’s uncle, James Miley, who passed away in May of 2007, will take place this Saturday evening, August 18th, at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania. Miley has never won this Western Pennsylvania super late model spectacle, but looks to change that this weekend. The South Park, Pennsylvania native will be up against some tough company, as the 6th Annual, 53 lap, ‘Red Miley Rumble’ main event will surely feature some of the region’s top super late model teams; including nationally ranked DirtonDirt Top 25 driver, Gregg Satterlee. The Jared Miley Racing/Colussy Chevrolet/Forcey Coal/Octane Graphix/FullyInjected.com ‘H1’ has been in the winner’s circle on a number of occasions already in 2012; including five trips to Sheetz Victory Lane at Lernerville Speedway. If any team in Western Pennsylvania has the right amount of momentum to pull off the $5,300 victory Saturday night, it’s Jared Miley Racing.

“We have never won this race” explained Matt Miley; crew chief and brother of Jared Miley, “We have been close before…finishing inside the top five but we have never won our uncle’s race…it would be really special to us to win this event…we are due!”

Jared Miley’s biggest opponent in recent weeks has been Mother Nature. Inclement weather and wet conditions have taken over many of Miley’s recent scheduled events; including Friday night action at Lernerville Speedway on August 10th. The JMR ‘H1’ finished on the podium during most recent super late model competition; finishing third at Midway Speedway in Crooksville, Ohio on Sunday evening, August 12th. The Jim Dunn Memorial, worth $5,000 to the winner, had 36 super late model competitors signed-in for competition. Miley would finish third in the 40 lap main event, with Zack Dohm taking the winner’s share.

Before heading to the ‘Red Miley Rumble’ this Saturday evening, the Jared Miley Racing ‘H1’ will first make an appearance at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Friday night, August 17th. Miley, who has been a Friday night regular at the high banked oval this season, has already clinced the 2012 Lernerville Speedway track championship with two point weeks left on the schedule. The familiar black and blue ‘H1’ will go for Lernerville Speedway win number six on the season this Friday night at the Sarver 4/10’s mile oval.

“A sweep this weekend would be ok by us” chuckled Matt Miley, “We really like Lernerville and we obviously really like racing at Pittsburgh…hopefully we can earn a win Saturday night for our Uncle Red…especially with all of our friends and family there…it would be really special!”
