Miley Finishes Third During Firecracker 100

Pittsburgh, PA (September 15, 2015) – Despite the 2015 season hitting the final stretch, a lot of competition remains for Pittsburgh’s Jared Miley. Miley, driver of the familiar Jared Miley Racing, Colussy Chevrolet, Octane Graphix, Brougher’s Machine Shop, Ireland’s Bait Shop of Elk County, Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic, DLB Metals, Schaeffer’s Racing Oil, #H1, will enter back-to-back super late model programs at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex near Markleysburg, Pennsylvania this Friday and Saturday, aiming to sweep the weekend and claim a potential $7,000.
“We’ve had some success at Roaring Knob so it’s always exciting to get back there” said Miley, “We have a lot of momentum on our side heading into the weekend so we’ll aim to put that to good use. I just want to thank all of our loyal sponsors and supporters. We’ve had a year to be proud of and it wouldn’t be possible without their help.”
Jared Miley will enter the “King of the Knob – Big Kahuna Weekend” this Friday and Saturday, September 18-19, at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. After an open practice session on Thursday evening, September 17, the weekend will officially launch on Friday evening, September 18, with the “King of the Knob” worth $2,000. The 50-lap, $5,000-to-win, “Big Kahuna” super late model main event will take shape on Saturday night, September 19. Each evening will feature a full super late model program. “The Jet” Jared Miley is a former “King of the Knob” champion at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex.
Miley will enter the weekend with a high level of momentum, recently earning perhaps his most impressive performance of the 2015 season. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native recently earned a podium finish during the World of Outlaws Late Model Series “Firecracker 100” main event at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Miley led the first 63 circuits of the 100-lap, $30,000-to-win, main event, ultimately finishing third at the checkers behind Shane Clanton and winner Rick Eckert.
“That was a great night for our team” said Miley, “We were close. That gave us a huge boost of confidence heading into the last part of the season. There are a lot of bigger programs ahead for us, so confidence is key.”
