Jared Miley Ready to Defend Home Dirt at Firecracker 100
Former Lernerville Champ Aims High at Late Model ‘Crown Jewel’

Pittsburgh, PA (June 24th, 2015) – Former Lernerville Speedway track champion and multi-time main event winner Jared Miley will join the best in the business for three days this weekend at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native will take part in the 9th Annual ‘Firecracker 100’ presented by GottaRace.com. The super late model ‘crown jewel’ will take shape this Thursday through Saturday, June 25th – 27th, beginning tomorrow evening, June 25th, with World of Outlaws Late Model Series preliminary competition. Miley will battle the World of Outlaws Late Model Series during all three nights of the ‘Firecracker 100’ weekend; hoping to defend ‘home dirt’ in Sarver, Pennsylvania and upset the national travelers for $30,000.
“We look forward to this race every year” said Jared Miley, “It’s growing into one of the largest super late model programs in the country and it’s great having it in our own backyard…we’ve been pretty good this year in some respect, and always find ourselves near the front…still just a little short…this would be a great weekend to get that first super late model win of the year…hopefully we can do our part in defending our home track against the Outlaws.”
Jared Miley, pilot of the familiar Jared Miley Racing, Colussy Chevrolet, Octane Graphix, Brougher’s Machine Shop, Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic, Schaeffer’s Racing Oil, ‘H1’ super late model, has joined the World of Outlaws Late Model Series on multiple occasions at the Lernerville Speedway during his career. ‘The Jet’ has been close to ‘Firecracker 100’ domination, but has not yet succeeded. Miley finished 6th during the 100-lapper back in 2012.
“We’ll see what we can do this weekend” said Jared Miley, “We were close a few years back…if we can stay out of trouble and qualify well, then we’ll have a good shot…it all starts tomorrow…we plan to work towards the front.”
The annual ‘Firecracker 100’ will feature back to back preliminary events on Thursday and Friday, June 25th & 26th; each featuring full World of Outlaws Late Model Series programs. The finale on Saturday, June 27th will feature the 100-lap, $30,000-to-win main event.
