Jared Miley Will Kick Off the 2013 Season with a Road Trip
Winchester Speedway and Hagerstown Speedway Highlight Miley’s Upcoming Weekend

South Park, PA (March 25th, 2013) ‘The Jet,’ Jared Miley, will kick off his 2013 campaign this Friday and Saturday, March 29th & 30th, by competing with the Three State Flyers Super Late Model Series in the heart of Virginia and Maryland. The 2012 Lernerville Speedway Track Champion will follow the Three State Flyers Super Late Model Series to the Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Virginia on Friday evening, March 29th to help officially kick off his 2013 season. Miley will then travel north from Winchester, Virginia to the Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on Saturday, March 30th for a second consecutive night of Three State Flyers competition. Each Three State Flyers program will feature a 35 lap main event for the super late models; paying $3,000 to the winner. The Jared Miley Racing, Colussy Chevrolet, Octane Graphix, Brougher’s Machine Shop, ‘H1’ team will make the hike east with the intentions of not only activating their 2013 season on a solid note, but also snagging two (2) $3,000 prizes.
“We are ready to get the season rolling” said Matt Miley; Jared Miley’s brother and crew chief for the ‘H1’ team, “Hopefully the weather allows us to race this weekend…it would be nice to get the season rolling this Friday and Saturday…regardless of where we have to go, we will race!”
With the recently welcomed ‘Spring’ season being anything but pleasant for most Mid-Atlantic racers, it is certainly never out of the question to have a solid backup plan in case the weather becomes a factor. If Jared Miley’s plans to venture east fall through due to ‘Mother Nature’ and her wrath, the JMR ‘H1’ will then make plans to head north to the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 30th for the annual ‘Chiller Thriller’ super late model event featuring the ULMS Late Models. The ‘Chiller Thriller’ program will feature a $3,000-to-win main event for the super late models; as well as a full program for the United E Mod Series ($1,000), Open Stocks ($1,000), and FASTRAK Crate Lates. “You can never be sure about the weather this time of the year” explained Matt Miley, “The plan is to race no matter what…we decided to head east but if things fall through then we will head to Mercer…Regardless of what happens or where we end up, none of it would be possible without the support of our family and sponsors…I can’t thank everyone who is involved enough!”
Jared Miley had a sensational year in 2012; and looks forward to continuing that trend in the years to come. The South Park, Pennsylvania native not only earned the 2012 Lernerville Speedway Track Championship, but he also earned six (6) main event wins at the Sarver, Pennsylvania oval to help solidify the title. In addition, Miley found victory lane at a handful of other regional facilities in 2012 including Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia; and Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania. Although Miley has no intentions of chasing any specific championship or point’s title in 2013, the ambition to stay consistent and find victory lane has not changed.
“We want to be competitive at every race we attend” said Matt Miley, “We had a pretty solid year in 2013 and we achieved a lot as a team…hopefully we can keep learning as a team and keep that success going in the right direction.”
