Mercer

Mercer, PA (March 24, 2013): Like area racers, the staff and management of Mercer Raceway Park are anxiously watching the weather forecasts hoping that they will be able to swing open the gates for the annual Chiller Thriller on Saturday, March 30. Weather permitting, they will do so at 4 p.m. An autograph session will take place at 6, with racing at 7.

“We are hoping that the weather will cooperate with us,” said track manager Frank Benic. “This is always one of our most anticipated races of the season.”

The 2013 edition will feature the ULMS Late Models, the FASTRAK Late Models, the UEMS Modifieds, and Mercer’s Open Stocks. There will be a rain date for this even, just in case the winter storm dumps too much snow in the days ahead. The same program will be run the following Saturday, April 6, if need be. Otherwise, the April 6 program will be the first Saturday Night Live! event featuring Mercer’s six exciting weekly racing divisions.

Special event ticket pricing will be in effect for the Chiller Thriller. Adult general admission will be $17. Seniors (age 60 and over) will get a two dollar discount at the front gate only. Students will be admitted for $7 and all children (ages 8 and under) are free, as usual. The economical Family Pass will be $35, which is good for up to two adults and up to four minors of any age. Pit passes will be $30.
