Jim Shuttlesworth Joins Brock Zearfoss Racing

Jonestown, PA (February 16, 2016) – Jim Shuttlesworth, most noted for his work with car owner Dave Middleswarth, has joined Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing, set to fulfill crew chief duties immediately. Shuttlesworth has worked alongside many of Central Pennsylvania’s finest sprint car aces, including National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee Keith Kauffman, and will work to mold Brock Zearfoss Racing into a successful combination in 2016. Zearfoss made two starts with Shuttlesworth on the wrenches during his most recent campaign, resulting in one top-ten finish during Susquehanna Speedway’s Final Showdown.
“We had an opportunity to work together on a few occasions last year and things clicked almost instantly” Brock Zearfoss explained, “We worked well together and had no issues communicating. We sat down during the off-season and figured out what we were each looking for. I think everyone is excited for this to come together.”
Brock Zearfoss will make his 2016 debut on Saturday, March 12, during the Port Royal Speedway season opener in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. The driver of the familiar Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Leach’s Automotive, No. 3Z will promote an upcoming schedule much similar to that of 2015; racing throughout much of Central Pennsylvania, while also making select trips to surrounding areas for higher paying programs.
“I think this could evolve into a great relationship” Zearfoss said, “It’s exciting to have someone come to the team that is already on the same page as everyone else. We also have a new tire specialist, Mike, with us in 2016…everyone is ready to get the year started.”
As an added reminder, the 4th annual Brock Zearfoss Racing Fundraiser is set for this Saturday, February 20. The one-night event will be hosted at the 520 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Hall on Jonestown Road near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Those interested in learning more should visit the official Brock Zearfoss Racing Fundraiser Facebook page. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased through Brock Zearfoss or Kaitlyn Esh. Those who do not purchase presale tickets can still attend the event. Admission will be granted on the day of the event at the door beginning at 6 PM. Children 5 & Under will be admitted for free.
