Three Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series Events Highlight JM2 Motorsports Upcoming Schedule

Ringgold, PA (July 9th, 2013) – Joe Martin will have an opportunity to earn three (3) Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series main event victories this week as the ‘Cross The Borders’ Speedweek is set to wrap up beginning this Wednesday night, July 10th. Martin, who pilots the JM2 Motorsports, Allegheny Crane Rental, The George Washington Hotel, Spartan Thru Tubing, Extreme Plastics Plus, Neese Trucking, RMS Incorporated, no. 55 crate late model, has not had much luck during the speedweek events thus far, and certainly hopes to change his momentum beginning this Wednesday night. The last three remaining ‘Cross The Borders’ Speedweek events will take place in Ohio and Pennsylvania; with Expo Speedway (OH), NDRL’s McKean County Raceway (PA), and Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PA) each hosting speedweek programs this week. Martin is a one-time (1) winner in 2013, and hopes to wrap-up the ‘Cross The Borders’ Speedweek with four (4) main event victories in 2013. Each speedweek program will award at least $1,200 to the Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series main event winner, with an additional $3,000 in speedweek point monies also on the line. Action kicks-off tomorrow, Wednesday, July 10th, at the Expo Speedway in Cortland, Ohio.
The Expo Speedway in Cortland, Ohio will be the first stop on Joe Martin’s upcoming appearances. The $2,000-to-win Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series program is the highest paying event left on the 2013 ‘Cross The Borders’ Speedweek schedule. The pilot of the Ringgold based, JM2 Motorsports ‘55’ has yet to visit the eastern Ohio venue in 2013, and hopes to leave the Expo Speedway oval on July 10th one-for-one this season.
From Expo Speedway, the Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series ‘Cross The Borders’ Speedweek schedule brings the crate late model travelers to the NDRL’s McKean County Raceway in East Smethport, Pennsylvania on Thursday evening, July 11th. Joe Martin’s recent appearances at the East Smethport oval resulted in one (1) top-ten finish and one (1) top-twenty finish; with the highest being a sixth (6th) place performance during Sweeney RUSH Weekly Series competition back on May 17th. The Ringgold, Pennsylvania native looks to score his first NDRL’s McKean County Raceway victory of the 2013 season this Thursday night, and earn the $1,200 pay day.
The final stop on the 2013 ‘Cross The Borders’ Speedweek schedule for Joe Martin and all of the Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series travelers will take shape at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, July 13th. The $1,200-to-win speedweek finale at ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile’ will sure to attract not only a healthy roster of Sweeney RUSH speedweek regulars, but also a healthy contingent of weekly ‘PPMS’ crate late model competitors. Joe Martin’s lone win of 2013 thus far took place at ‘Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway’ earlier this season. The JM2 Motorsports program will use their past successes to help earn the $1,200 pay day on July 13th.
Joe Martin and his JM2 Motorsports, Allegheny Crane Rental, The George Washington Hotel, Spartan Thru Tubing, Extreme Plastics Plus, ‘55’ will enter the upcoming week fourth (4th) in the current Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series standings; on the strength of five (5) top-five finishes and and two (2) podium appearances while on tour. Joe Martin has twenty (20) total starts during his 2013 campaign thus far (FASTRAK and/or RUSH); earning a remarkable seventeen (17) top-ten finishes and fourteen (14) top-five finishes. The Western Pennsylvania native has one (1) victory in 2013 thus far; that coming at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania during Sweeney RUSH Weekly Series competition.
