VINCENTOWN, N.J. (October 17, 2022) – If prior results suggested anything, it was that Vincentown, New Jersey’s Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports were on pace to break through at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace.” And that’s exactly what happened on Friday, October 14, as Whittall, ace of the JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, No. 67 sprint car, captured his first-ever victory at the Juniata County Fairgrounds, securing a $6,000 payday in the process while holding off Port Royal’s own Dylan Cisney.

Utilizing Port Royal’s notoriously thin and high-paced outer groove, Whittall’s campaign at the front of the field was stout, as well as impressive. In fact, Whittall’s ability to avoid near-devastation with ten circuits remaining was also impressive, forced to weave through a pileup on the backstretch before leaving the scene unscathed.

Adding some glamor to the weekend result, the victory occurred in Port Royal’s final 410 sprint car program of the season. Not only that, the triumph was Whittall’s second-ever in a 410 sprint car, securing his first at Williams Grove Speedway during the 2021 season.

“What a feeling. We’ve been close on a number of occasions this year, so to break through for a Port Royal Speedway victory is just incredible…I’m still kinda speechless,” said Whittall. “I can’t thank my team, my family, and all of my partners enough for believing in me, and believing in what this team is trying to do. We’ve proven to ourselves that we can compete with the best at this place, but now we’ve proven to ourselves that we can win. I’m excited for what the future has in store for us.”

ON DECK:
Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports will continue their 2022 campaign with the 60th annual Champion Racing Oil National Open on Saturday, October 22. The famous battle between the Outlaws and PA Posse pays out $75,000-to-win and will be contested at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
