Krimes Ends Year with Two Victories and National Open Top-Ten
Finishes Second in Final Lincoln Speedway Standings

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

Denver, PA (November 11, 2015) – “Super” Alan Krimes concluded his 2015 campaign with a level of success nearly matching that of his 2014 season. The defending Lincoln Speedway 410 track champion returned to weekly competition in the Pigeon Hills in 2015, set to defend his 2014 title. Krimes finished just shy of a second consecutive championship, ending the year second in the final Lincoln Speedway standings, earning one feature victory along the way, as well as nine top-five and 17 top-ten finishes. The Denver, Pennsylvania, native also found victory lane at the Williams Grove Speedway during his 2015 trek through central Pennsylvania, ending his championship hunt at the paperclip ninth in the final standings.

“We had our share of good moments this season, just wish we had a few more of them” said Alan Krimes, “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished. We learn more and more each year and that is most important. We’ll have a similar game plan next year and try to move in on another track championship.”

Alan Krimes wrapped up his 2015 season on an impressive note; earning a top-ten finish against the “Greatest Show On Dirt” at Williams Grove Speedway. The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series invaded the Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, half-mile for the final time in 2015 on October 1-3, ready to do battle against the “Pennsylvania Posse” during another edition of the National Open. Despite rain plaguing the weekend, the 48 sprint cars entered finally saw the racing surface on Sunday evening, October 4. Alan Krimes not only qualified for the $50,000-to-win, National Open main event, but rallied from the sixth row to finish seventh at the final checkers; his second top-ten finish against the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in 2015. His first top-ten feat occurred back on May 13 during the Gettysburg Clash at Abbottstown’s Lincoln Speedway, charging forward from outside the top-ten to finish seventh.

“We held our own against the Outlaws on a few occasions this season” Krimes said, “I think we were capable of finishing higher if we would have been in better starting positions. That is something we’ll keep working on for the future. I just want to thank all of those who supported this 87 team all year. We have some great people involved with this race team…we couldn’t do it without them.”

News regarding the 2016 season will be released in the near future. As of now, it will be business as usual for the Wayne Corini CPA, Krimes Racing Engines, VRP Shocks, No. 87 team; planning a schedule around weekly competition at Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway.
