Last night at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, it was Kyle Larson of Elk Grove, California, who picked up the $15,000 winner’s share at the Casey’s General Store Ultimate Challenge. There were 39 entries for the Amsoil USAC sprint car sanctioned event. Larson, a former King of California, held off the current Knoxville non-wing nationals champion, Brady Bacon, for the victory.

The Knoxville Nationals, sanctioned by the World of Outlaws, will kick off tonight at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. This will be the first night of four consecutive nights of action; including two qualifying nights, the consolation and World Challenge night, and the National’s finale on Saturday. Check back later this evening for results and comments concerning opening night of the 51st Goodyear Knoxville Nationals.

Danny Holtgraver, a western PA native and Fully Injected teammate, will qualify tomorrow night for his shot at making the Nationals A-main!
