Germantown, Tennessee native, Sammy Swindell, continues to prove to the sprint car racing world that he is still a dominate force in World of Outlaws competition. He certainly proved that hypothesis correct last night – winning the opening night of the 51st Goodyear Knoxville Nationals with what seemed to be in untouchable fashion. With last nights preliminary win- and a solid qualifying performamce in time trials- the former World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Champion holds the top spot in overall points for the Nationals weekend thus far. Preliminary action will continue tonight at the Knoxville, Iowa facility; including an appearance by Fully Injected member, Danny Holtgraver. This will be Danny’s second career start at the famed half mile.
