The most elite and prestigious 360 sprint car series in the nation is once again prepared to travel from coast to coast and deliver some of the finest short track racing in the country. The Lucas Oil ASCS National Series has released their 2012 schedule; packed with 63 nights of competition at 36 different tracks in almost 15 states! The 2012 schedule also promotes eleven new tracks that the tour has never visited; including Texas Motor Speedway.

The upcoming 2012 schedule also saw changes in event purses for the single night, and multi-night, race weekends. All single night shows, a long with the second night of two night shows, will pay $4,000 to the winner and $400 to start. Tow money of $500 will also be awarded to each team inside the top ten in series points over the course of the season. The overall championship still stands at $60,000!

Shane Stewart of Bixby, Oklahoma is the defending series driver champion; while Jason Johnson is the defending owner’s points champion.

Action kicks off March 2nd and 3rd at the Canyon Speedway in Peoria, Arizona.
