Marks Earns Top-Ten Against Outlaws During First Fremont Visit,
Finishes Fourth During Maxim Debut
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
MYERSTOWN, Pa. (June 6, 2016) – Despite Mother Nature’s attempt to wash away his entire weekend, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks was successful in making two recent starts, finishing inside the top-ten during both attempts, one of which against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series during a first ever visit to Fremont Speedway.
Brent Marks joined the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, on Friday night, June 3, earning his fourth top-ten finish of the 2016 season against the “Greatest Show On Dirt.” Marks finished ninth during the 40-lap/$10,000-to-win main event, charging ahead from 20th on the feature grid.
“Despite the travel and the weather, we ended up having a pretty solid weekend,” explained Brent Marks. “Factoring in what we were up against, to come out with two top-ten finishes is exciting. We had to rush around on Saturday because we weren’t sure where to race because of the weather. Luckily, we made the right choice on Saturday after leaving Fremont. I just can’t thank my crew enough for what they do. Our schedule hasn’t been easy this year, but they keep me on the right track.”
With weather effecting scheduled plans to join the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, on Saturday night, June 4, Brent Marks made the trip back across Ohio and Pennsylvania and joined the field at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. The Myerstown, Pennsylvania, native finished fourth in the Pigeon Hills, advancing from row five while aboard a brand new Maxim chassis.
Up next on the schedule is a pair of programs in Central Pennsylvania. Brent Marks, pilot of the Brent Marks Racing, M&M Painting & Construction, BAPS Auto Paint & Supply, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Russell Heller Builders, KC Automotive, No. 19M, will visit Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove on Friday night, June 10, followed by Lincoln Speedway’s Dirt Classic Showcase on Saturday evening, June 11.
“We were scheduled to make the trip to Knoxville Raceway this weekend for the two-day World of Outlaws program, but we’ve decided to hang back home and get our new car worked in,” explained Brent Marks. “The new Maxim felt great on Saturday at Lincoln. We had to make a few adjustments, but other than that, we were thrilled with how it felt. We’ll work to get back up front this weekend.”
