FOREST, Ohio (June 23, 2020) – An unofficial dry run for USAC Indiana Sprint Week, Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports put together an impressive schedule over the last week, competing in six-straight non-wing events across Indiana. Contested in conjunction with USAC Indiana Midget Week, Westfall visited Paragon Speedway, Gas City I-69 Speedway, Lincoln Park Speedway (twice), Lawrenceburg Speedway, and Kokomo Speedway on June 16-21, ending his campaign with five straight top-ten results highlighted with a podium performance at Lincoln Park Speedway on Friday, June 19.

In addition to a third-place finish, Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports earned a sixth-place run at Gas City on Wednesday, a sixth-place finish at Lincoln Park on Thursday, and back-to-back ninth-place outcomes at Lawrenceburg and Kokomo on Saturday and Sunday.

Just as competitive as it was extensive, the Ray Marshall Motorsports entry battled head-to-head with some of the nation’s elite during the six-race string; a perfect test session for USAC Indiana Sprint Week that will ignite at Gas City on July 24.

“It was a great week for the team. It was nice to put together a long string of starts, especially with things on hold for much of the spring,” Matt Westfall said, driver of the Ray Marshall-owned/Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M sprint car. “I can’t thank Ray Marshall and the entire team enough for their hard work and support this week. It wasn’t easy racing that much, but we were able to put together some good results and hopefully build some solid momentum for the rest of the year.”

“I’m proud of Matt (Westfall) and the entire team. They worked hard and put together great results,” Ray Marshall said. “We were up against stiff competition every night and the guys persevered and raced to their potential. I’m confident great things are ahead for us.”

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will unveil future plans in the coming days. Fans are encouraged to keep alert on social media for continuing updates.
