FREMONT, Ohio (May 25, 2021) – It was a hard-fought weekend in the Hoosier State for T.J. Michael and Michael Motorsports, and despite an intense schedule complete with four events in four days across three Indiana bullrings, the “Texas Traveler” did his best to persevere and highlighted the high-dollar, All Star Circuit of Champions weekend with an 11th-place score at the all-new Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis on Friday, May 21.

Kicking-off the evening by setting the tenth-fastest qualifying time, Michael would go on to transfer through his respective heat race and eventually line up 14th on the A-Main grid. A three spot jump would put Michael 11th by feature’s end.

The Plano, Texas-native was in a similar position at Circle City just one night prior during the All Stars Indiana Invasion lidlifter, lining up 12th on the A-Main grid after finishing second during his respective heat race. Unfortunately, Michael’s involvement in two unassisted cautions forced the former FAST Series winner to retire early.

Not the way the “Texas Traveler” wanted to cap his Indiana road trip, Michael was forced to miss A-Main action at Gas City I-69 Speedway and Kokomo Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, May 22-23; he did not qualify through preliminary action.

“It was an up and down weekend for our team. A few things happened that were a little bit out of our control. If those didn’t happen, we would have probably been in the features at Gas City and Kokomo. Regardless, we learned a lot and now we have a much better notebook for smaller tracks,” Michael said, who earned the 2021 FAST Series opening night win at Waynesfield. “I can’t thank my team and all of our supporters enough. We knew it was going to be a competitive season with the All Stars. We’re going to do what we can to find ways to better ourselves. That’s what everyone’s out here to do.”

T.J. Michael and Michael Motorsports will continue their 2021 All Star Circuit of Champions campaign with a tripleheader in Pennsylvania Posse Country, set to invade Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway for a $49,000 potential on Friday through Sunday, May 28-30.

The weekend will kick-off with the $10,000-to-win Davey Brown Tribute at Williams Grove on Friday, followed by the two-day Weikert Memorial at the Port Royal “Speed Palace” on Saturday and Sunday. The Weikert Memorial opener will award a $10,000 payday with the weekend finale shelling out a $29,000 winner’s share.
