On The Road Again: Jason Meyers to Race West Coast Outlaw Races
by Kelly Brown PR

“On the road again – Like a band of gypsies we go down the highway. We’re the best of friends, insisting that the world keep turning our way and our way.” The life of a World of Outlaw racer on the road is certainly gypsy like and the camaraderie which builds between the road crew certainly leads to some of the closest friendships. The past season this is something two-time World of Outlaws Champion Jason Meyers has missed somewhat, but as the 2013 season gears up he is preparing to get back on the road for both the series west coast swings in the 21m fielded by Tarlton Racing.

“I can’t wait to get back in the office,” explained Meyers. “I have spent the last 12 months sitting behind a desk and I love what I am doing, but what the world calls ‘the office’ and what I call ‘the office’ are two different things! I climbed behind the wheel last night of the Tarlton and Son 21m and man did that feel good. Tom and Tommy Tarlton have provided me with a great opportunity in 2013 to participate in one of the greatest sports in the world while still being at home for my family and my teammates here in ‘the office.’”

Meyers tentative schedule will feature some staples on the World of Outlaws schedule including, the Mini Gold Cup, Knoxville Nationals, and The Gold Cup Race of Champions. Starting with the Dirt Track at Las Vegas this week, where in 2010 the California Champion started 18th and won with a last lap pass on Steve Kinser and ending in September at Antioch Speedway, Meyers will compete in a total of 26 Outlaw Races.

“With the Support of Tarlton and Son, Inc, Corporate America Lending, Bandy and Associates, Elite Landscape Construction, Stockbridge General Contracting, and Allstar Performance, we will compete in 26 World of Outlaw events in addition to select California series events,” the two-time Outlaw Champion shared. “I am very excited to get back in the car and at the track with the fans. I have had so many messages over the past several months asking if and when we will be racing and it means the world that our fans really want to see us back. The industry has been very supportive of my return to the sport and I can’t wait to turn our first lap at Vegas!” 2013 Jason Meyers Tentative Outlaw Race Schedule
