OVSCA to Return to Atomic Speedway for Second Dose of Action this Saturday

Parkersburg, WV-The Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association will be back in action at the newly opened Atomic Speedway this Saturday night. After the overwhelmingly successful grand re-opening, the two are excited to once again join forces. Over 5000 people in the house witnessed Jim Nier claim the victory on home turf this past weekend. However, the competition is heating up and this weekend is a whole new show. Can Nier defend the turf? Or Danny Smith, or Blake Feese take the win?

After commendable runs by young guns, Sam Ashworth and former KC Raceway modified track champion, Aaron Higgins, you can’t count them out either. Nathan Skaggs has been on a tear for the entire OVSCA season, he might just find himself in victory lane. Regardless of who takes the checkers, this race is expected to be yet another awesome show put on by the bravest, fastest, winged warriors in the region.

In addition to the sprints, paying $1500 to win, Saturday will be Modified Mayhem 30 paying $1200 to win. Street Stocks and Sport Mods will also be on the ticket for a packed program for one of the last family friendly nights out of the house before it gets cold. Track crews are already working hard to prepare an even better and racey surface than opening night. Brad, JJ, and the rest of the Atomic Speedway team are making continuous improvements through the remainder of the season and each event is expected to be just a little better than the last.
This week, hot laps will be starting promptly at 6pm. Please make sure you get your parking spot, through the gate and grab a seat in time to catch the show. You won’t want to miss out on this one!
