York, PA (June 30th, 2014) – With the first three (3) ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek’ events already in the books for 2014, Cory Haas finds himself tenth (10th) in the updated standings; earning one (1) top-ten and one (1) top-fifteen finish along the way. Haas, who pilots the  Michael Barshinger Builder, Embee & Son, Inc, York P-B Truss, Inc., Thornton Chevrolet, Tailgaters Grill & Drafthouse, no. 11C ‘410’ sprint car, participated in all three (3) opening rounds of ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek;’ highlighted with a ninth (9th) place finish during the ‘speedweek’ opener at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, June 27th.

After kicking-off the 2014 edition of ‘speedweek’ with a top-ten finish at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, June 27th; Cory Haas and the entire Barshinger ‘11C’ team followed the mini-series south to the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. The 15th Annual Kevin Gobrecht Memorial highlighted the Lincoln Speedway ‘speedweek’ stop on Saturday, June 28th; awarding $7,000 to eventual main event winner Kyle Moody. Cory Haas finished eleventh (11th) during the 30-lap main event. The pilot of the Barshinger ‘11C’ would round out the recent weekend with a visit to the Path Valley Speedway near Dry Run, Pennsylvania on Sunday, June 29th. Haas would qualify for the main event, but end his efforts early. The York native was scored 20th. Although Cory Haas finds himself inside the top-ten of the current ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek’ championship standings, he will only be in action two (2) more nights.

The Barshinger ‘11C’ operation will make their way to the Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on Wednesday, July 2nd. The lone Maryland ‘speedweek’ date will feature a 30-lap main event, awarding a $5,000 winner’s share. Cory Haas will then round out his 2014 ‘Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek’ schedule with a second visit to the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday evening, July 4th. The second Williams Grove Speedway visit will feature the Mitch Smith Memorial worth $10,000.
