Pay It Forward Foundation Night at Sharon Speedway for ULMS and UEMS on Wednesday Night

East Smethport, PA (June 10, 2013) Wednesday night will be a special night of action for the NDRL’s ULMS Late Models and UEMS Emod Series as they entertain the crowd in Hartford, Ohio for a special midweek show. The Pay it Forward Foundation on behalf of the Young Hamilton Racing Team presents the charity night and NASCAR drivers, Ken Schrader and Ryan Blaney in action in the UEMS Emod Series event.

The NDRL ULMS Late Model Series is currently lead by Sharon Speedway favorite Russ King of nearby Bristolville, OH. King is still looking for his first ULMS win of the season and it could come Wednesday night at is home track. He has a slim one point lead over Waterford, PA driver, Dave Hess Jr. Boom Briggs and Mike Knight trail the top two drivers in the point chase as Briggs is coming off a pair of wins over the weekend. Davey Johnson won the April ULMS event and Keith Barbara won the lone 2012 ULMS event at Sharon. A quality field of late models are expected on hand for the $3000 to win event as all the northeast stars will be on hand along with some outsiders looking for a little mid-week cash.

The NDRL UEMS Emod Series have been off since April 20 when they last raced at Sharon and Randy Hall picked up his first win of the season. Hall will be returning to Sharon to take on NASCAR drivers, Ken Schrader who is no stranger to victory lane in a Emod and Ryan Blaney competing as well. The UEMS stars of Hall, Vic Vena, Steve Dixon, Carl McKinney, Dan Davies, Brent Rhebergen and Jack Young will take on Schrader, Blaney and the weekly Sharon warriors of Mike Kinney, Joel Watson, Joe Gabrielson, Andy Buckley and Jeff Johnson. A huge field of Emods is expected on hand for the $2000 prize. This event was spearheaded by Jack Young and his car owner, Ken Hamilton who has worked tirelessly in promoting this event over the past several months.

Race teams are reminded that the AMB (red) transponder will be used at Sharon and both the ULMS and UEMS series will be time trialing for their heat race starting positions. Entry Fee for ULMS is $50 and UEMS is $25.

The Pay It Forward Foundation was formed with the desire to carry out the mission defined by the principle of generosity witnessed in the movie Pay It Forward. P.I.F.F. is a completely volunteer group in the spirit of love and faith that raises money to help hard-working people who have fallen on tough times regardless of their beliefs, color, sex, age or orientation. The only thing they ask is that the recipients, in the same spirit of love and faith, pay it forward with three random acts of kindness. “This will be a great event to be able to host at Sharon Speedway,” stated Sharon GM Dave Willoughby. “It gives us another opportunity to feature the Super Late Models, which isn’t always easy to do with so many Saturday Super Late Model shows. Racers and fans both are always asking us to do more events and we’re glad to be able to host four shows this season. I have to thank Hamilton-Young Motorsports for making this night happen.”

Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7. Adult grandstand admission is just $15. Students 13 and under are always free as is parking.
