“Down and Dirty” Weekend at MCR with $12,500 Available for The NDRL’s ULMS Late Models

East Smethport, PA (June 10, 2013) The NDRL McKean County Raceway coming off its biggest event a week ago will go even bigger this coming weekend with its “Down and Dirty” Weekend. We’ll be ‘getting dirty’ with a huge event with big money topped off with a live concert at MCR Friday and Saturday.

The action all starts Thursday night with an open practice session for all classes from 7pm till at least 10pm. Grandstand admission is free and pit fees will be $20. This test session will be valuable track time as racers will be gunning for a lot of cash all weekend.

The real action begins on Friday as the NDRL’s ULMS Late Models compete in the $5,000 to-win Dave Lundgren Memorial in part of the “Down and Dirty 30”. The 30 lap sprint for $5,000 will be a barnburner. Current ULMS point leader, Russ King along with ULMS regulars Dave Hess Jr., Mike Knight, Boom Briggs, Matt Urban and Greg Oakes will all be in action against the MCR weekly faithful of Ron Davies, Bob Close, Jason Dupont, Brent Rhebergen, Rob Blair and Dick Barton. Will an outsider take home the cash as did Watertown, NY’s Tim McCreadie did last week or will his neighbor Tim Fuller? What about Georgia’s Shane Clanton or Bear Lake, Pennsylvania’s, Chub Frank? Be at the NDRL’s McKean County Raceway this Friday to find out!

Also on the Friday night card is the RUSH Touring Late Model Series. A field of forty plus crate late models from Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland and Delaware are expected on hand for the $1,500 to win event. Max Blair has been the dominate crate car at MCR and basically everywhere in the Mid-Atlantic region. He no doubt will be the car to beat but he will have to keep an eye out for Chad Ruhlman, Bob Kish and Damien Bidwell who are his weekly competitors along with the RUSH stars of Ryan Montgomery, Mike Pegher Jr., Joe Martin and others.

Joining the ULMS and RUSH series will be the NDRL’s UEMS Emod Series, making its first appearance at MCR this year. A quality field of Emods is expected for the $1,500 to win event. A complete program for the street stocks and mini stocks will also be held. Racing starts at 7:30 pm with the ULMS late models time trials. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and $12 for Senior Citizens. Children 12 and under are ALWAYS free at MCR and pit pass will be $35.

On Saturday it will be one of the biggest events in MCR history as all the activities kick off around 5pm with country music star, Cody McCarver performing live to kick off night three of the “Down Dirty Weekend”. The highlight of the weekend is the “Down and Dirty 50” for the NDRL’s ULMS Late Models as the winner will go home with $7,500! The NDRL’s UEMS Emods will also be in action for the second straight night and regular weekly program for the RUSH Crate Late Models, street stocks and mini stocks.

Grandstand admission is $20 with Sr. Citizen $12 and kids 12 and under is FREE all the time at MCR. Pit passes will again be $35 on Saturday with racing beginning at 7:30 PM with both the ULMS and UEMS series having time trials.
