FOREST, Ohio (August 1, 2022) – It was a grueling week in the Hoosier State for Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports, but despite the miles, heat, and fierce competition, the team prevailed, highlighting the six-race affair with a top-ten finish at Circle City Raceway, also acquiring a long list of contingencies, one of which a runner-up finish in the final Indiana Sprint Week Passing Master standings.

Falling just two points shy of eventual Passing Master, Shane Cottle, Westfall’s performances at Circle City Raceway (sixth from 16th), Kokomo Speedway (14th from 20th), Bloomington Speedway (14th from 22nd), and Tri-State Speedway (17th from 22nd) all attributed to his outcome. In addition, Westfall also earned the GSP Quality Driving Performance Award and the Hard Work Award at the Tri-State Speedway ISW finale.

“It was a long week, but I’m glad we did it,” Westfall, driver of Ray Marshall’s Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc., Hempy Water, DPI Ink, No. 33M sprint car, said of Indiana Sprint Week. “Hats off to everyone on this team. Indiana Sprint Week is not an easy feat…it’s a lot of driving, a lot of racing, and a lot of work in between. It wouldn’t have been a possibility without Ray Marshall. His love for racing goes far and beyond that of anyone else I know.”

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will enjoy an off weekend before returning to action with visits to Gas City I-69 Speedway and Fremont Speedway on Friday and Saturday, August 12-13.

Ray Marshall Motorsports and Matt Westfall would like to thank all of their marketing partners including: Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink
