ST. HELENA, Calif. (July 5, 2022) – Central Pennsylvania has always been special to St. Helena, California’s Rico Abreu, and despite the long haul following his High Bank Nationals campaign at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, Abreu made it to Pennsylvania Posse Country just in time to participate in the final six rounds of Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek, hitting the top-ten on all six accounts including a victory at Grandview Speedway to open his campaign on Tuesday, June 28.

A wire-to-wire victory, leading all 35 circuits from the pole position, the Grandview Speedway/Greg Hodnett Cup triumph earned Abreu a $10,000 payday, simultaneously bumping Abreu’s Speedweek victory count to three; it was a first-ever at Grandview Speedway.

In addition to his Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek successes at Grandview, Abreu, ace of Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing/Rowdy Energy/Curb Records/Wiser Agency/No. 24 sprint car, finished ninth at Port Royal Speedway the following evening, sixth at Hagerstown Speedway on Thursday, June 30, third at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, July 1, fourth at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, July 2, and fifth at Selinsgrove Speedway on Sunday, July 3.

With $25,000 on the line Wednesday evening at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, Abreu will work to transfer his recent successes in Posse Country to the western half of the Keystone State, aiming to beat the All Stars in Lernerville’s Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup 31.

“We love racing in Pennsylvania…there’s no place like it,” Rico Abreu said. “The people…the fans…everything about it is incredible. Everyone treats us like one of their own and I am more than grateful for the support I’m shown when racing in Pennsylvania. To get a win there makes it all the better. Hopefully we can do it again tomorrow night at Lernerville Speedway.”

Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing will continue their 2022 campaign with Lernerville Speedway’s Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup 31 featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions. The Wednesday night program will award a $25,000 top prize. In addition, Rico Abreu will be hosting an autograph session for one hour prior to the start of the All Star driver’s meeting.
