VINCENTOWN, N.J. (January 12, 2024) – Vincentown, New Jersey’s Justin Whittall is heading south to the Sunshine State, set to tackle Volusia Speedway Park in its annual DIRTcar Nationals on February 6-10. Whittall, a former Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway winner, will join Canadian car owner Glenn Styres for his Florida venture, piloting his all-too-familiar Ohsweken Speedway No. 0 for the five-day World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series blockbuster
An annual send-off for the Greatest Show On Dirt, Volusia’s DIRTcar Nationals will activate officially with an open practice session on Tuesday, February 6, followed by four straight days of competition.
Whittall, who has never participated with the World of Outlaws at Volusia Speedway Park, will use his Florida visit as an opportunity to not only launch the new year with a big impact, but ultimately build a lasting impression with Glenn Styres Racing.
“This is a great opportunity and I’m more than grateful for the chance to compete at Volusia Speedway Park,” Whittall, who pilots his own JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry/Mid-Atlantic Transport No. 67 sprinter on a weekly basis, said. “Glenn Styres is a name that is certainly synonymous with sprint car competition, and to be a part of his racing family is extremely special. The best of the best will be with us in Florida, but we’re going to give it everything we have and hopefully get the year going in a big way.”
Not only will Whittall be driving for Glenn Styres, but in the process, the New Jerseyite will help debut a brand new GSR Chassis – designed and fabricated by the car owner himself.
“I’m excited to get a feel for it,” Whittall, referring to GSR Chassis, added. “Glenn is very knowledgeable, so I’m confident it won’t take us long to build a comfort level. No better place to roll out something new than Volusia with the World of Outlaws.”
As it stands, Whittall will kick-off his Pennsylvania schedule with Lincoln Speedway’s annual Icebreaker on February 24-25. Traditionally a one-day show, the now two-day Icebreaker Weekend will award $5,000-to-win each.
