10-Time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Champion Donny Schatz Set To Debut New Paint Scheme For Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing

INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 30, 2022) – When the No. 15 Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing (TSR) entry hits the track on Thursday at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash., race fans may not recognize the car driven by 10-Time World of Outlaws (WoO) NOS Energy Sprint Car Series Champion Donny Schatz. Paying tribute to racing partner Sage Fruit’s home state base, the No. 15 will carry a black, red, and silver chrome scheme for the Sage Fruit Skagit Nationals on Sept. 1 – 3.

We have been exploring the option of getting a Sage Fruit car on the track for a while now. This year thanks to TSR, the opportunity presented itself and we could not be more excited,” stated Chuck Sinks, President of Sales and Marketing for Sage Fruit.

“Our team at Sage Fruit worked closely with TSR to get the design perfected and we’re very happy, not only with out how it looks, but that the car will make its debut at the Sage Fruit Skagit Nationals on September 1st.

“We are extremely proud to have the Sage logo on the fifteen car and have Donny Schatz behind the wheel. We feel that Donny and the entire No. 15 TSR team are a true representation of our values and beliefs. Not only are we partners but we are true fans of Donny’s, TSR’s and the sport of sprint car racing.”

Schatz posted two Top-Five finishes and one Top-10 finish in three nights at the 3/10-mile, high-banked oval in the 2021 Sage Fruit Skagit Nationals event. He earned his first career WoO victory at the facility on Aug. 31, 2013 and followed up in 2014 with a pair of wins at the track on Aug. 29 – 30, 2014.

The Sage Fruit Skagit Nationals continues the 2022 season of money as one driver will have the chance to take home more than $40,000 between the three nights of Racing (Thursday to Saturday) with Thursday and Friday’s events paying $10,000 to win and Saturday’s finale at Skagit Speedway paying $25,000 to win.

The Sage Fruit Skagit Nationals is the WoO Series’ first stop on the West Coast for the Fall Swing. Teams will compete three nights at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash., on Sept. 1 – 3 before making their way south to Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash., on Monday, Sept. 5. The series will then head to California for the first of two weeks of competition in the Golden State.

Gates are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. PDT daily for the Sage Fruit Skagit Nationals event, with WoO hotlaps and qualifying to begin at 6:30 p.m. All three nights of racing action can be streamed live via DIRTvision at www.dirtvision.com with coverage slated to begin nightly at 9:15 p.m. EDT.
