Rimersburg, PA (1/28/2013) – Rimersburg, Pennsylvania native Scott Priester has been hard at work this off-season; preparing two ‘410’ sprint car teams for a full Western Pennsylvania campaign in 2013. Not only does Scott have to prepare his own, family funded, Priester Racing no. 11 for competition, the twenty-five year veteran racer also has to prepare the Dionise Racing no. 15 for the upcoming summer season. The former Challenger Raceway sprint car track champion plans to be a regular at two (2) Western Pennsylvania ovals during the upcoming season; including Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania; and Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Both facilities host ‘410’ sprint car action on a weekly basis. Priester will pilot his own no. 11 at the Sarver oval, while driving the Martha Dionise owned no. 15 at the Mercer bullring.

“Things are coming together slowly but surely” explained Priester, “We are working on some things to ‘up’ our motor program this year in the ’11’ car…hopefully we are able to race at Lernerville weekly in the ’11’ car, as well as be more competitive during time trial events and other special shows…I would like to hit and miss some B.O.S.S. non-wing sanctioned races as well…very busy season ahead!”

Scott Priester and Martha Dionise will team-up once again in 2013; putting much, if not all, of their season focus on earning a Mercer Raceway Park ‘410’ track championship. The duo nearly completed that goal in 2012; ending their Mercer Raceway Park campaign second in the final standings behind Eric ‘Turkey’ Williams. Although the Priester/Dionise combo ended their most recent season at the Mercer oval win-less, consistency was still a dominant trait with the program. More than multiple top-10 and top-5 finishes at the Mercer bullring helped Priester and Dionise Racing earn a runner-up position in the final track standings. Priester hopes to park the familiar Dionise Racing no. 15 in Mercer Raceway Park victory lane on a few occasions in 2013; adding a little more flavor to their championship chase.

“The Dionise Racing no. 15 is nearing completion” explained Scott Priester, “The plan right now is to earn a Mercer Raceway Park championship, or at least be in strong contention for one…if we have time, we will also hit and miss some Saturday specials in the area with the ’15’ car…but that will only be the case if ‘410’ action is not featured at Mercer on those particular Saturdays.”

Scott Priester will have an opportunity to ‘activate’ his 2013 season on two separate occasions. The Priester Racing no. 11 will initiate it’s 2013 season at the Lernerville Speedway during the track’s ‘Fab Four’ season opener on April 19th. Scott Priester will then kick-off his season behind the wheel of the Dionise Racing no. 15 at the Mercer Raceway Park during it’s respective season opener.  Be sure to visit Mercer Raceway Park and Lernerville Speedway online at www.mercerracewaypark.com and www.lernerville.com. All information, including schedule and ticket prices, can be found at their respective online homes.
