T.J. Michael Continues His ‘Speedweek’ Tonight at I-96
Will Join Outlaws during Michigan Visit; All Stars Headline Remaining Weekend Schedule

Fremont, Ohio (June 24th, 2015) – With four nights of competition already in the books since Friday, June 19th, ‘The Texas Traveler’ T.J. Michael will now look ahead to the remaining portion of his own version of ‘speedweek’ beginning tonight at the I-96 Speedway near Lake Odessa, Michigan. Michael, pilot of the Advanced Cast Stone, Fremont Fence Company, Kear’s Speed Shop, Snap-On, no. 8M ‘410’ sprint car, has followed the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions during much of their Ohio Sprint Speedweek campaign, but will venture off the trail tonight, June 24th, for one event before rejoining the All Star competitors on Thursday through Saturday, June 25th – 27th. Michael has been experiencing his share of disappointments during Ohio Sprint Speedweek; unable to qualify for main event competition during each of his four starts.
“It’s a tough week for sure” said T.J. Michael, “We’ve raced with right around 50 cars every night so far since Friday…we haven’t had a ton of luck with the draw…we’ve been good, but the results say otherwise…we’ve been drawing really late and that hurts if you can’t transfer through the heat race…we’ve buried ourselves just about every night…we’ll just keep working hard and hopefully put ourselves in a better position the rest of the week and weekend.”
T.J. Michael will venture away from UNOH All Star competition and join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for the NAPA Auto Parts ‘Rumble in Michigan’ at the I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan later this evening – Wednesday, June 24th. After his trip north to Lake Odessa, the Plano, Texas native will rejoin the Ohio Sprint Speedweek trail for events at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio on Thursday and Saturday, June 25th & 27th, as well as an event at the Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio on Friday, June 26th.
“We’ll be busy the rest of the week” said T.J. Michael, “We are going to head north with the Outlaws for one night before returning to Ohio Sprint Speedweek…it makes a little more sense for us to go to Lake Odessa…we’ll see what happens.”
During his most recent start, T.J. Michael visited the Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio on Tuesday evening, June 23rd. There were 42 UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions sprint cars signed in. Michael would not transfer through his respective heat; his night would end during UNOH All Star B-main competition.
